Full Moon Reflection
INSIGHT on Inner Resources
Meditation, conscious breathing, and mindful movement—are powerful tools that truly work.
When we take our practice one step further and add a clear intention, we create a way to recenter and reorient ourselves through the power of our will.
By setting an intention, we exercise our will. Strengthening our will empowers us to respond thoughtfully when facing adversity.
This is more relevant than ever as we witness the depths of human behavior's darkness, experience nature's destruction of our homes and cities, and find ourselves edging away from listening and compassion and losing the willingness to see from another person’s perspective.
But remember:
You are significant. Your presence matters. Your engagement counts.
You have a body, mind, heart, and spirit—and you hold the power to decide what to do with all that potential.
How you tend to your inner landscape makes all the difference between feeling overwhelmed by the external world and maintaining a connection to your inner light. It enables you to discern the reality of the present moment and sustain a heart-centered, emotionally intelligent perspective.
The more you nurture your heart and expand the light within you, the more you counterbalance the hopelessness, despair, and reactivity that many are feeling during these times.
A Moment to Connect
Take a moment now. Slowly start to regulate your breath. Inhale deeply, and as you reach the peak, exhale slowly. Keep going while allowing your breath to rise and fall at the center of your chest. Reflect on the power that resides within you. Feel each breath expand, illuminating from the heart center outward. Notice what shifts. Do you feel any difference even after five or six breaths? What about after a few minutes?
If you need more support than a written cue, experience the power you have to alter your state through this guided meditation. (The meditation starts 5 minutes into the recording.)
Creating a New Outcome
We have the ability to create a different outcome from the current status quo. But to do so effectively, we must first nurture our connection with our body, mind, heart, and spirit. By tuning in and reconnecting to the power within, we are actively shaping a better world.
As Tantra teaches, If we want to see and experience the sacred in the world around us, the first step is to generate enough light within ourselves so that we can.
I understand this is just a drop in an ocean of all the chaos and complexity, but every drop counts.
With love,
Kevin
